Little Places

Little Places

Little places deep inside
away from all the pain.
Little places in my heart
have felt your twinge again.

Tears will fall for all we lost;
this failure we endure.
Somehow the words "I'm sorry"
leave me empty, wanting more.

Little twinges of the past
came creeping in at will.
Little bites of memories
kept me mourning still.

Moments plucked from long before,
when I held a ray of hope
went long forgotten; gone away
allowing me to cope.

Little parts in packages
all neatly stowed to stack.
Little places for my dreams
are quickly coming back.

Held at bay for quite some time
exciting now to see.
Ringing in their mystic form;
my dreams are now set free.

Little pieces of my world
swept up and thrown away.
Little pieces of my dreams
now coming back to stay.

We take the sweet and beautiful, and mix them with loving care, and see them in a different light, as the dawn of a new one sits there.

Little pieces of my world, now coming back to stay. I love that line. Beautiful poem, thank you for sharing.

We do what we need to so we can move forward...Little pieces of my world swept up and thrown away...this line brought tears to my eyes for so many reasons....very beautiful verse that touched me deeply.
