Maybe you*re not the one for me,
if you*re intimidated by what
you see. Maybe we*re just not
meant to be, if you cant see
whats inside of me. Maybe you*re
not my lovers stride, if you*re
filled with so much egotism and
pride. Maybe this isn*t lovers
lane, if the words from your
mouth bring nothing but pain.
Maybe we shouldn*t be together,
if you think you can say or do
whatever. Maybe this relationship
will never work out, if im in the
realm of so much doubt. May i can*t
look forward to good days, if you*re
unwilling to change bad ways,
and if you refuse to acknowledge
the wrongs you*ve done. Then Maybe
You*re Not The One.

first line scratches the surface and it never gets any deeper than that. there's no development throughout. stanzas are interchangeable but at least it makes sense |
