°°°Soap & Shaving Cream°°°

Contributed by OreO on Tuesday, 29th October 2002 @ 07:20:00 PM in AEST
Topic: HumorPoetry

Soap and Shaving Cream, almost alike
You both are creamy, and both are white
One washes our face, one lathers to shave
Dirt and hair be gone, just go away
»
You slide on our face, our necks, our chin
We shave you away, wash the dirt again
You go under our arms, some stinky i know
But can't you see it's the hair that has to go?
»
Dirt washed away, get off my skin
Don't come back or i'll wash you again
Soap, Shaving Cream where will you go
On my legs? or on my toes?
»
Scrubby to wash the soap in our skin
Razor to make us all smooth again
Soap and shaving cream almost the same
If you get dirty and hairy, your the one to blame
»
Have you ever wondered what Hero's use?
Or movie stars, or tiny toon cartoons?
Do they use soap or shaving cream?
They need this to, so they'll be clean
»
Soap and Shaving cream almost the same
Sometimes i think they have the same name
If you have smiled, i've kept this clean
Soap and Shaving cream, make a good team

Thanks for the smiles, OreO..... This reminded me of one time when my 6yr old cousin used shaving cream in a tube.. thinking it was toothpaste....he said it tasted yukky!!

yep, this one made me smile too. sometimes we get trapped into thinking poetry must be such stern stuff. nice silly playful poem.

I like this one also Oreo. I am glad you put a smile on my face as I put one on yours (The Grinch That Stole Christmas). Glad you enjoyed it. *S* Cynthia
