sorrow found a hiding place

selfstruggles
|
sorrow found a hiding place
disguised itself as bliss,
misfortune held my lonely hand
and laid upon my lips the sweetest kiss.
who knew that pleasure
would lead to pain,
or that foolishness would reside
within my brain?
i never thought my kindness could
be hypnotized by fear
or that i'd give in to its intent
while it whispered softly in my ear.

Hiding places can be opened up with fresh air and sunshine so that things that hide can be seen through a wholesome eye ... and be found out. This piece speaks the strength to see "things" that way now. Hmmmm. Am I being over analytical? Beautiful insight poem.

oh priss, my dear friend. I feel your pain AND your
struggle in this. I truly do. How eloquently sad ..
What are our hearts for if not to feel until we bleed, yes?
*hugs*
