The King of Myself

Contributed by slayer_015 on Saturday, 31st July 2004 @ 12:48:13 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

I am a king,who rules a court,
Of unimportant, silent subjects,
Whose crippled faces,
Molest the fragile tranquility,
Of the symmetrical world.

I am complex,
I am plain,
My subjects,
Are complex and plain,
My rule is loose,
And from afar.

I have the rule of dreamers,
Weary wonderers on winding trails,
Roving the universe with a nomads lust,
Naming the unnamed places,
That are dark to searching eyes.

My rule is vast,
As well as small,
So my kingdom,
Is vast and small,
It exists on the wind,
And in the blue of a single raindrop.

My relm is blessed by the vanity of angels,
(Though the darkness is never vanquished),
And chubby cherubs dance happily to unknown songs,
Where cloudless skies bleed purple sunsets,
And the night is placid grey.

My kingdom is the reality of surreality,
I rule from many thrones,
I have no throne,
My subjects are me,
I am them,
I am the king of these,
And also of nothing.

All hail the king.

Very vain and self absorbed and thought out. I love it, great detail and vividness, keep it up and spankies for the comment.

the entaglements of thyself are of great complexities, i like how this bounces around different introspective thoughts.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
