in relation to the moon

Contributed by ethdrumsed on Saturday, 31st July 2004 @ 06:57:30 AM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

as I sit here in your room
with a blanket on my face
you make out with my friend
your lips I almost taste

I have to get out
to breath to feel free
I have to get out
you don’t let me be me

and now I see
you want him ,not me
walking away
hopeing you will think of me

I go outside
first I walk, then I sit
I stare at the moon
solitary confinement

I wonder if the moon
is as lonely as I
I think if it is
it would surely cry

for the hope has been gone now
for so long
for some girl
to come strolling along
and stop the nightmares
make real my dreams
complete my sole
fulfill my fantasies

but I guess instead
the moon is me
all alone
only stars to see
to observe and watch
but never to touch

so me and the moon
are alone for ever
destine to find a soul mate
never

Wow. I love this poem! It hits very close to home, actually, it's kinda scary how close...Awesome write...even if it is sad. One day you'll find your special one. Promise!
