Can you tear yourself away?
Will you try to listen to me talk about my day?
I know you love him
But I doubt your love to me
Will you prove it?
He won’t always be there for you,
But I could be
Will you take a break to look at me?
Can you tear yourself away?
Will you try to listen to me talk about my day?
I am you sister
Don’t I matter?
Blown away by a breeze
Left you,
Crying in the dust
With no one to comfort you
He’s not there for you,
But I could have been
You could have made a difference
You could have made me care
It’s not all your fault,
That I’m not really there
You don’t have to pretend
I know you don’t care
I know you can’t see me
I know you can’t hear me
Dissolved into the air
But I linger on
To make you remember not to forget
