Forget about me

Contributed by bohemian_with_a_pen on Friday, 30th July 2004 @ 06:57:13 PM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

Dear world,
Dont worry, in a few months
you'll forget who i really am
who i really was
i'll just be another number
on ur clipboard of statistics
Do me one last favour
as i lie here cold and lifeless
look past the
red eyes
pale skin
oily hair
the used veins of a 14 year old
pierced with needle marks
see me for who i really am
who i really was
and let me Rest In Peace
I know i did some bad things
Said some harsh words
But I'll be silent
Forever more
Please tell my friends
its not their fault
I just couldnt keep living my
empty, lonely, loveless life
So i thankyou
from the bottom of my bleeding, broken heart
for taking the time to get to know someone
who wasnt worth any time at all
so hand out my things
board up my room
and forget about me

Very moving and disturbing poem. You express your feelings extremely well and your words are stabbing and thought provoking. I see much talent here. Keep it up!

Mmm.. nice write. The last bit reminded me of Adam's song by Blink 182. Sorry you had to go through that... Kinda sounds like me...
