Against strong odds,
Against the world,
Against my own desires
I overcame!
Without you by my side,
Without fear of unknowns,
Without hope
I overcame!
Through pain and fear,
Through love and heartache,
Through tears
I overcame!
Struggled through emotions,
Struggled through faithless nights,
Struggled to find hope,
I overcame!
Cried for help,
Cried for a future,
Cried for losing you, but
I overcame!
Lost my sense in the world,
Lost my pride,
Lost my heart, but
I overcame!
Filled with dread,
Filled with shame,
Filled with hate, but
I overcame
Hoped for nothing
Hope for death,
Hoped for pitiless surroundings, but
I overcame!
Screamed with rage against the world,
Screamed with tears for all the hurt,
Screamed with revenge, but
I overcame!
Against sleepless nights
Without precious thoughts,
Through the months,
I overcame!
Struggle for small pleasures
Cried for empty memories,
Lost my Angel, but
I overcame!
Filled with excitement
Hoped for next milestone,
Screamed with passion,
“I OVERCAME!”
