A little girl without her dad, growing into a teenager who is always sad.
The little girl had a wonderful stepfather, but she's never had a good relationship with her real father.
When she was young it didn't mean alotto her, but now that she's older she's not quite sure.
She has so many questions but none to tell her the truth, like whre was my daddy when i lost my first tooth?
When i was little Father's day was just another day, but now who do i send a card to and what do i say?
On garduation day who do i call dad, and what happens if it makes the other one mad?
When i get married who gives me away, who is going to be dad on that special day?
I guess it doesn't matter because they are both good to me, I think having two fathers is really good for me.
i guess i'm lickier than anyone on any given day, I have two fathers......but who keeps count anyway?

Great poem. I can understand how you feel for I have a father and a DAD ( my step dad).
I do keep count though and it is my stepfather who I choose. But I'm glad you have both. Don't take it for granted.
Much Love |
