I feel like I am at a piano recital
Soft, pretty music
But I need a subtitle
I’m lost…
I stand here teary-eyed
Frozen in time
Don’t know what to do, petrified
I’m lost…
I’m not my usual extrovert
Feeling nothing inside
Which makes me feel like dirt
I’m lost…
Am I naïve?
Everyone bawls,
Why can’t I grieve?
I’m lost…
My brain decided to disconnect
Stuck in one place
Totally wrecked
I’m lost…
Memory is like an heirloom
Treasured but misplaced
As I stand at this tomb
I’m lost…
I feel like I’m in a war zone
Bombarded and confused
Staring in disbelief at the name on the tombstone
I’m lost…
Without you

Good write.
'I feel like I am at a piano recital

I really liked those lines.
You've expressed the shock and pain of losing a loved one very well. It's simply written, yet deep and emotional. Nice.
