Your face in my mind
Was as cold as alabaster
But, oh how your eyes shined
Under your stare my knees would bend
And I would grow weak with apprehension
The Thorn Tree stood dark and twisted
It leant me a branch that bloomed white blossoms
Only to cut my hand clenched and fisted
Wind and silver artisans colored my hair
Reach for you under the Thorn Tree...but you're not there
Alabaster among the dead branches
Blue reflected by the sky
I regret the chances...
I had to kiss those silver artisans
Delicately crafted
Covered in silver tresses and clad in white dresses
As they fall to settle in my hair
And drift upon my eye lashes
Spinning, Circling
Dancing
Teasing along side the wind and thorns
Look at the sky, oh how she cries
Why is it when the wind blows...
You always have to go?
You told me to wait for you under the Thorn Tree
In spite of the way those thorns cut me
Right here...
I'll always be
