My soul is slowly dying,
My eyes are forever crying,
The pain sears my delicate insides,
There’s nowhere left to run & hide.
The walls are crumbling around me,
I am trapped to never again feel free,
Locked away in this dark place,
In time people will forget my face.
Life has become a cold & feared land,
Since I felt the iciness of deaths hand,
I feel empty like a faceless ghost,
Psyche blackened like burnt toast.
Nothing I can do & nothing I can say,
Can ever stop me from feeling this way,
My soul is tainted beyond recognition,
To give in is my final submission.
The windows to the soul are the eyes,
Mine are darker than the winter night skies,
I have been touched with pure death,
I can feel it waiting on my last breath.
I lay down on my bed of rusty nails,
My bloody tears leave the pained trails,
I have taken all that I possibly could,
Hurt has finally dried up all of my life’s blood.

Pixie;
I feel your pain honey, so intensely. A very well written poem, as usual. I'm losing my love because of her damn muslim religion and I'm afraid of this lousy life now. I guess I have to go on the rest of the way by myself.
Sorry I'm interjecting my problems in this comment. I hope you feel better dear. I'll pray for you.

I really felt you tears reading this. My lack of emotion helps me pick up other peoples. And I enjoyed reading this one. I have read many imageries on depression and this, like one of Lil Gen's is the best.
