I kissed many frogs to get to my Prince,
Some of them made me shudder & wince,
But it was well worth it for in the end,
I found my love & also my best friend.
I had almost gave up on finding love,
I had a pigeon instead of a dove,
Love to me was just a dream,
Flowing further away down the stream.
I’d find love in my night’s sleep,
But it disappeared & that made me weep,
I thought I was destined to be alone,
To never find a love to call my own.
But then one day everything changed,
My whole life was being rearranged,
When a man breezed into my world,
One who made my painted toes curl.
I kissed him & in a puff of thick smoke,
I tell you this story is no joke,
He turned into a handsome Prince,
& We have been together ever since.
He carried me away on his steed,
Finally someone had heard my pleads,
This is what I had long waited for,
For a man whom I could totally adore.
