Your Strings Are Mine

Contributed by pyrofairyburning on Thursday, 29th July 2004 @ 12:07:29 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Lace and silk reminders
Of beauty faded fast
Chipped and broken fragments
Of the memories that last
That tear and rip inside of you
And break your very soul
That cling to your broken heart
Never to let go.

The control that you desire
To cast on over me
To pull my wings and watch the break
And never set me free
Without a word you took it all
And left it there to decay
My life, my love, my trust and hopes
Gone and led astray.

A single word to break me down
A look to make me fly
You know you are the puppet master
And I with strings will cry
As you feed me lies and dreams
Then starve me of your love
And I will look on tragically
As you contort me from above.

Cruel laughter floating down
And pierces my ever vein
Tonight you made me hurt myself
Tonight I bled again.
O' love of mine where did you go
Why did I become so weak
My strings are yours, my voice, my soul,
And I obey the words you speak.
