Endurance tested, tempers raised,
Things we feel on one-of-those-days.
Heads tipped back in surrender,
We've given up on our defender.
Let the moment pass real quick,
One more word and we think we'll tick.
Eyes closed, deep breaths,
We clench our fists and try to resist.
But the frustration is there,
So we give in to the stare.
Don't even take it one step further,
I swear I'm not in the mood for your **.
Leave it at the door, don't even think,
That you'll get by with just a blink.
What do you mean there's no more left for me?
Get some, or get out of my face, I said leave!
Damn, okay..breathe...
Under control, for the moment,
We're contained.
Wait, stop, slow down,
Can you explain?
Don't get impatient with me,
It's not my fault I don't know.
Oh, no...Oh, no. Don't even.
Grinding our teeth, and seething inside,
Holding the fire, staring into those eyes.
Please,
I told you,
Don't act so dumb,
Don't you know I'm suffering,
From pre-menstrual sydrome?

I love this. I'm not sure you could have put it in any better words! For women everywhere, thank you for sharing our annoyance! |

Should be required reading for all women afflicted with this cruel condition--as well as their partners. As a member of the latter group currently, I well understand the poem's message! (Though, perhaps, not as well as she does.) Thanks for sharing your pain--now, if you don't mind, I think I'll be getting out of the way. Take Care, -KAC- |
