The little boy and Heaven

Contributed by matts_sweetie_04 on Wednesday, 28th July 2004 @ 12:20:19 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

The sun breaks throught the clouds and the little boy's face breaks into a grin.
He looks up and wonders about that place up high where he has never been.
He knows it is called heaven and that is where his daddy is at.
The little boy remembers the last time he saw his daddy, it was the birthday he recieved a baseball and bat.
His daddy and him stayed out till dark playing baseball.
He remembers that day, yes he remembers it all.
He remembers his mom telling him one day that his daddy wont be coming home again.
He remembers thinking this is it, the world as he knows it is going to end.
His mom started to explain that daddy was in Heaven and can still watch and be proud of him.
His mom then explained how Heaven is wonderful, bright and happy, never gloomy, sad or dim.
His mom tells him he can still talk to daddy and even though daddy wont answer back he still will listen.
The little boy's eyes go from a look of sadness to eyes that glisten.
So there the little boy stands with a grin.
He wonders about his daddy and Heaven, the place he has never been.
