The world would like to change you
There are pressures all around
When you decide just who you are
You firmly hold your ground

This isn't about failing in life
Or a lecture to discourage you
You must realize the world is small
Life's hard, full of peer pressure and strife
^..^
Insecurities inside sometimes you can't hide
It's very hard to hide these feelings
But remember my words of encouragement
I will always stand by your side
^..^
Don't let the world make you feel trapped
Push away hostility and hurt
You are your very own person inside
Just be proud of you and give them a smirk
^..^
You have an image of yourself inside
A warm ideal sense of you
And to this vision you must always fight
To be honest, faithful and true
^..^
Follow your heart, go as far as you can
Don't let fear take away your chance
Stand up for what's right and smile real big
And shake that homeless person's hand

You know exactly what your good at
And where your precious talents lie
But if you are ruled by others
Your uniqueness could pass by

Life is exactly what you make it to be
Live your life well, you only have one
And when things get a little down for you
Keep going, have faith, but don't run

Nobody knows you better than you
Farewell now be on your way
Go off in the world to live your dream
And just know i'll love you always
