Aperture

Contributed by Sagacious on Wednesday, 28th July 2004 @ 10:26:02 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Duplicitous kindness kills us
from behind the pleated
curtains we hang, where
sunlight strikes the

outside, rounded folds,
and shadows fill the
spaces in between--

Taking their shape by virtue
of perspective, as well
as other factors--of ambience,
and aperture (the only

light is the light we
let inside)--and we are
all caricatures, in pleated

Abstraction, waiting for
the sun, and seeking not
to rise--as the occasion
calls for diffusion, through

the layers of our textured
selves, drawn closed by
circumstance, which

duplicitous kindness brings.

How true!! - and yet I would never have been able to come up with this comparison. Very original thinking. I liked this.

Duplicity on serves to create a larger web of deceit in the end. Nicely written, good structure.

I can not comment with many words as I usually do, because you have left me with no words to describe how beautiful this is... All i can say is two words: True Perfection.

All my love, your dearest friend and fan,

*~Fleur~*
