Admitting Defeat

Contributed by srsuckow on Wednesday, 28th July 2004 @ 12:23:50 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

I’ve admitted defeat
And I’ll try to move on
I’ve wracked my brain
For what I’ve done wrong
You’ve chosen another girl
I still don’t know why
I thought we were right
Of one soul, one heart, one mind

It’s not very often
That I’ll let someone in
Unwilling to love
My heart had always been
You made me break my own rules
And you’ve made me insane
Who knew the heartless wonder
Could feel this much pain

I’ll meet someone else
But to my heart I won’t be true
Because I know that for me
It will always be you

I love this poem. Every single person on this earth can understand the pain you felt at that moment in your life. Hopefully you've moved on by now:) don't worry, everything happens for a reason, and even though it might have felt right at the time, it obviously wasn't, and that can only mean you have bigger and better things waiting for you!
