A Prayer For The Lord

Contributed by Jennette_The_Poet on Tuesday, 27th July 2004 @ 11:15:29 PM in AEST
Topic: ChristianPoetry

I try so hard Lord.
Yet - I always seem to fail.
But thank you, for making me,
who I shall be.

I try so hard to show
people who I am but it does
not seem to matter to them

I can only be me,
This is the way you made me Lord
yet, I cannot seem to be happy with the
Way I am.

The day I will be set free
will be the day, I will know
what real peace is.
Seeing, all the loved ones
seeing all the white that will come

I love you my dear Lord,
I love you for making me
I love you for you, just letting me be me
I know not to many people believe in this

Half, of them does not even
Believe in life after death.
I want to be your dove
I want to be able to spread my wings
and fly.

Yet this may only
be a dream yet to come,
One day though I will be
let free, Free of this all pain

I just cannot wait for this
Day to come.
Well my dear Lord from
above this is all I have to say for now
so now I must go to bed
~Amen~

Sad, yes....but refreshingly honest...

I know exactly how you feel, always hoping better times will come. Very good read, got me thinking and that's what I like.
