Pink Rose

Contributed by Jennette_The_Poet on Tuesday, 27th July 2004 @ 11:10:38 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

You gave me a rose today
a rose that had its own beauty
it had a smell like a summer rain

it was a nice soft pink rose
a rose of friendship, I said
It's something I would hold close

Close to my heart as friend would do.
All You could do was look me into my
eyes, as I sat there and smelled this beautiful

Rose.
You had a single tear fall from your cheek
as you stood up and took me by my hand
All you could do was cry, you knew I was

Not well, You knew I was just about ready to
Die. I asked you what is wrong my friend?
All you could do was say nothing as you

shook you're head no. I placed this pink
beautiful rose on the table and took your
hand, as we slowly danced to this

Song. I am thankful to have you as my friend
I could not have anyone, who could be
Any better, then you. As I placed my head

on you're shoulder, I heard you whisper something
Into my ear, I said 'What was that?" Then you said it
once again, and here is what you said "Please don't go"
