My Song Will Still Live On

Contributed by ginsdance on Monday, 28th October 2002 @ 04:00:00 PM in AEST
Topic: MiscPoems

If tomorrow dawns
And my soul has gone and fled,
Leaving all of you, my friends,
Alone with grief and dread,
I want to leave this memoir
Solely, just for you,
Remember how I used to sing,
Didn't matter if the sky was gray or blue,
Please remember the life I led,
Not the sickness that I fought,
And please remember all the smiles I had,
Not the tears you caught.
Please remember me as a strong,
Capable, loving person, not one full of fear,
Please remember my loving friends
That I held each one of you so dear.
I know that if tomorrow comes,
You may blame yourselves,
But please remember that each of us must face,
Our hand that life has dealt.
Please forgive me for not fighting,
And for moving on,
But as long as you remember me,
My song will still live on.

Good poem, and I'd say it would fit under Life Poetry.

Whoa Ginnie!
Where are you going with this,
Please, hold on to you for all our sakes.
Clock in Ginnie we need to hear from you.
A beautiful poem, but you've frightened me.
Come on sign in now.....

I think these could go as song lyrics..but what do I know. Having talked to you just the other day online, I found you to be a very interesting person..this can justify that. Great work.

Phew Ginnie Gin,

Sure glad tomorrow never comes!
I want you to continue posting here, and I feel totally sure that I'm not alone with that!
This, as always, if full of feeling from your dancing thoughts;-) It's really sad, and very well written again!
Keep it up young lady.

With love
Dean;-)

This is a great write gin, but if I wasn't talking to you online as I'm posting this comment... I might think you were planning something, but I know you're smarter and stronger than that.

Sorry if I scared any of you. That wasn't my intention at all. I just needed to vent a bit of "doom" or "premonition". Kind of like when I wrote "Just in Case"...

Again, I'm sorry if I scared any of you! Thank you for your wonderful comments. It's so nice to know that so many of you care!

Gin
