The Rose

Contributed by tiny_mo on Tuesday, 27th July 2004 @ 01:15:08 PM in AEST
Topic: InspirationalPoems

It is only a tiny rosebud...
A flower of Gods design.
But I cannot unfold the petals,
With these clumsy hands of mine.
The secret of unfolding flowers
Is not know to such as I...
The flower God opens so sweetly,
In my hands would fade and die.

If I cannot unfold a rosebud,
This flower of Gods design.
Then how can I think I have the wisdom
To unfold this life of mine?
So I'll trust in him for his leading,
Each moment of everyday;
And I'll look to him for his guidance,
Each step of the Pilgrim way.
For the path that lies before me,
My heavenly father knows...
So, I'll trust him to unfold the moments,
Just as he unfolds the ROSE.

What a clever way of putting it, a wonderful idea you came up with! I can see why it is your favorite.
Sometimes we get frustrated with our lives and forget that God has a plan, thanks for the reminder!
