LoveRemembered

I knew you once.
But now,
Who are you?
You choose a life,
Thaw a not your calling.
You pushed the right away,
And took to the shouting of the wrong.
I can’t save you now,
You need to save yourself.
You say that you have filled what is missing,
But have you,
Or have you just covered it,
With fake emotions?
Like a cover on a pot,
It will be lifted,
To expose the contents,
Of what it had hidden.
You have hidden so much,
I know you not.
But one day I hope,
That your barricade will tumble,
And your gates unlock and open,
So then no more,
Will you be,
A stranger to me.

I like the way you described the secrets being kept from you. I hope you do get to know this stranger of which you speak of. Very good poem. Keep up the good work.
