Someone once asked me,
‘What am I looking for?’
I could ask for nothing more
For I have all I should.
Someone once asked me,
‘Since you’re on your own,
Are you alright alone?’
Well, it don’t feel too good.
I typically don’t play hard to get
But once in a blue moon, I’ll forget
And if he don’t respect me
And he will neglect me
Then why even waste your breath?
And all I want is
My own boy from next door
That’s all I’m looking for.
More than a friend.
And all I need is
My own boy from next door
Loving me more
And it never end,
It never end.
I clearly remember
Nights alone drinking
And all I was thinking
Was ‘I’m alone in a full bar.’
I clearly remember saying
Maybe I meant to have no one
Maybe I got no someone
Except for my guitar…
And all I want is
My own boy from next door
That’s all I’m looking for.
More than a friend.
And all I need is
My own boy from next door
Loving me more
And it never end,
Look at my situation
Someone tell me
I need observation
I don’t understand
Why I don’t have a man
I just want more than
A friend.
I typically don’t play hard to get
But once in a blue moon, I’ll forget
And if he don’t respect me
And he will neglect me
