Fairy Tale

Fairy Tale

Once upon a time, not long ago, in a place real close..........

there lived a little girl. The little girl believed in fairy tales. She believed in white horses, and the handsome prince and the happily ever after ending.

As the little girl became a teenager, her belief in fairy tales never went away. In fact white horses lined up on her pocket mirror, handsome princes were a dime a dozen, and who the hell needed happily ever after, when you had happy right now.

As the teenager became a young woman, she still clung to the world of fairy tales. In her white horse world, she met her handsome prince, and he promised her happily ever after. Slowly her fairy tale world started to crumble. Her handsome prince was really an evil wizard, intent on locking her deep in a castle dungeon hidden from her family and friends. He cast a wicked spell, and soon a baby was born, tying them together for the rest of thier lives.

Still the young woman found hope in the eyes of the baby girl. Her thoughts of fairy tales began to stir, and she left in search of her knight in shining armor to rescue her from her twisted prince and dark world. Her child deserved rainbows.

Soon her knight appeared, to ride her off to brighter days. For a while all appeared calm in fairy tale land. A baby was brought into the land of staggs, and joy abounded. Soon after the joyous event the young woman and her brave knight were put into battle against the evil wizard. The brave knight was forced to confront his inner demons, and in the end the brave knight pledged his aliegance to the darker side.

The young woman hung her head and wept, for now her land of fairy tales was no more. All that was left, were the laughing sprites. The woman looked to the sprites for hope and strength, and once again she found it in thier eyes. So she pulled herself together and ventured off into the new world that had been forced upon her.

The young woman faced a long up hill battle, and for a while she found it hard to keep her footing. She wanted to keep looking back, for the handsome princes, and brave knights. Soon enough a man (yes, just a plain man), wandered into her path. He was kind and caring. He listened to her story, and he shared his with hers.

The young woman opened her eyes to the beauty of life, and found a well of strength deep within herself. Slowly, over time she came to love this man. As life would have it, not long after thier chance meeting, fate took him far from her home. Again she felt pain, but even in her pain thier was hope. For now she had the key in her hand. Though dark days were still to come, and many battles were still to be fought, she had discovered love. True love, self love, and ahhh to be loved by him, and him, and him is nice, would be nice, could be nice.

But to love your self.... now there is the secret to happily ever after.
