Take My Life

Topic: DarkPoetry

Take My Life Away

I am detached
From this life
I don't care
How you take my life
Just as long
As you take it away
Just take my life today

I'm sick of living it
Always changing
To conform to it
I am dying anyway
So take my life away
Before I live another day
You won't let me
Throw my life away

I have no guilt
Owed to anyone else
Not after the Hell
They put me through
Just for themselves
There's nothing to live for
Not even myself
That person died long before
I've been dying everyday
Waiting for you to take my life
Away, but you won't anyway

You said you would do anything
That I wanted you to
And when I finally count on you
You back down saying you never would
No matter how much I want you to

You are always telling me
I have so much to live for
That I just have to find it
Within myself

But you'll never let me go
Because of your love
No matter how far down
I'll eventually go
Within myself

very well written poem, written with a great deal of depth and because of this you just feel that pain like a punch from each word.
