The Cutting of the Blade

Contributed by teagy03 on Monday, 26th July 2004 @ 06:25:51 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

You gaze silently at the door,
Urging one to peek,
To try and have a look,
At the ecstasy you seek.

You mother and your father,
And your gran and grandpa too,
They try to get inside your head,
But know nothing about you.

On the outside, your a woman,
A mask to hide the sorrow,
And inside you’re a ***** mess,
How will you be tomorrow?

You do all the normal stuff,
Like happy families do,
But when alone, your deep dark mind,
Creeps out and envelops you.

You hide the stuff you use,
To try and hurt your soul,
Are you a freak of nature?
How can you get out of this dark hole?

Now, when you see you family,
You act just like you should,
But in your mind, you try to find,
The past, when all was good.

So, forget about tomorrow,
And who’s coming to your aid,
Just think about your ecstasy,
Of cutting with the blade…
