Crying Blood

Contributed by pixie on Monday, 26th July 2004 @ 11:23:08 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Crying tears of ruby blood,
Knowing that I am no good,
Feeling like a worthless soul.
Never able to feel truly whole.

It stains my cheeks crimson red,
I feel as if I’d be better off dead,
Droplets drip down from my chin,
Can’t remember where I really begin.

As the tears create a red sea,
Flowing out from deep within me,
I can’t bear this heartache anymore,
Oh how I long to swim to shore.

But I am an outcast in this wasteland,
There’s no-one to hold onto my hand,
I am alone as I walk down my path,
In the distance I hear the ghosts as they laugh.

The tears fall from my pained eyes,
As the rain drops fall from the skies,
Each drop contains some anguish,
Which are too powerful for me to vanquish.

So I must go on crying my red tears,
Wincing as the pain scolds & sears,
Forever must I drown in this misery,
As hurt & I are locked in a conspiracy.
