Being A Loaded Gun

Contributed by pixie on Monday, 26th July 2004 @ 11:21:14 AM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

Being a loaded gun,
I can tell you isn’t much fun,
As you hurt the people who care,
The one’s who are willing to share.

Everything they have with you,
Show you love that is so true,
They stand by your side all the while,
When you say things so hurtful & vile.

I have tried myself for many years,
To calm my rage & stop causing tears,
But I can’t do it on my own,
So last week I picked up the phone.

Told the doctor of my trouble,
Asked him to help me on the double,
Before I destroy my lover’s heart,
As my past words have torn him apart.

My world has been filled with hate,
I thought that it had sealed my fate,
But then I found a love so deep,
I know which one I’d rather keep.

I know that I do need help,
No longer do I want to make others yelp,
From my words that cut like a knife,
I need my Mark to forever be in my life.

A very sweet and sad write all at the same time. You will do well, realizing that you need to help yourself, is the best thing you can do to start in the right direction. Good luck sweety!

A refreshing and honest plea. Surround your self with people who love you and will help you. You can do this.

It takes a strong person to realize they do need to seek help to overcome problems. It is sad when someone just sits back and lets them destroy their lives. Great write, Pix.

The thing I love most about your writes is the honesty.
I have the same anger problem at times.
Good write.

Once again you are fearless in opening your soul for all to see. Your honesty about your emotions and feelings is highly commendable. Good write.
