This blank page I must fill,
It haunts in the back of my mind.
My therapist told me to write
So that inner peace I may find.
I wanted to write it in blood,
But instead she gave me a pen,
She said to me "Write what you feel"
I shall write out my soul for you then.
My eyes have filled up with hatred.
My ears hear nothing but lies.
My mouth speaks little but sorrow,
With a heart that yearns to fly...
My chest has filled up with fear,
And my feet long to take me away.
My arms are all covered with scars,
My concience says come all that may...
Look on the outside and judge me.
Gaze inside and you'll cower,
Look at my wrists and you'll realize
Only over my hurts I have power.
