the wolves are baring their teeth
and circling around me
but that's really okay, I don't mind
because I've always liked wolves
and I still have a watercolor rainbow
painted in preschool
clenched tightly in my fist
and I remember how you liked it
when I painted rainbows
because you always loved watching rainbows
and so even though
I was more of a sunset type girl
and would rather have painted
those ambers and pinks,
I painted rainbows that smeared
and dripped down the page
because they made you smile more
just like the wolves are smiling
(they're still circling, Mommy, but I'm not scared)
and I know it's okay, it'll all be okay,
because I loved rainbows, just for you.

i really like the way u write all though i am a fan of more short expressive poems, this is interesting and the end is heartfelt......
but than again .... i am no judge and im not gonna rate it cuz thats stupid... overall it was a bit too long, some lines could be cut..... overall i enjoyed it, very inspiring style, and poem..... |

I dont understand it im afraid...
I have a suspicion, but i dunno...
this is very heartfelt like you said.
And it seems very sweet and genuine too,
and somehow sad.....
Great write Nora.

I understand it completely, Nora. WONDERFUL job, a very sincere and heartfelt poem. I loved the ending, it's so sweet. You have so much talent, I always loved reading your work. And it's hard to believe that you're the same age as me, you act so much older and your poems are much better than mine. lol. I would love to meet you sometime, you seem like a very nice girl. But anyways, amazing poem you've written here. My mouth is still hanging wide open. Take care.
Blessings
Love, Jenna |

... Wow, Nora. Just wow.
And wouldn't you know, I was listening to music when I read this, and had to focus on that at the end (despite the quality depression of my music) to keep tears from my eyes. You really need to stop making my eyes water, or I'll have to start calling it an allergic reaction.
I'm allergic to incredible poetry.
Keep being a writing Viking,

Nora, this is a brilliant write, just brilliant.
I'm not sure if I understand the way you would have wanted it but I have some thoughts.
Your talent shines within these lines.
Good job. |

Oh! dear Nora - you have exactly the right attitude about those wolves. I find it wonderful and inspirational that you know that you're a sunset kind of girl and can somehow paint rainbows with a passion nonetheless. You have awareness far beyond your years... I swear you are either an emotional genius or you have walked this earth once before. Either way - I delighted to have the chance to get a glimpse of you via your poetry.
Thinking your poetry is a beatiful gift wrapped in the most elegant paper one could hope to find -

Cryptic, aye, as are you yourself, Nora friend.
Very touching. I especially like the last two lines. They give the piece a lot of meaning.
Bravo!

Giving a piece of yourself for someone you dearly love has to be one of the most selfless things a person can do.
I have the strong feeling that you are truly altruistic when it comes to love.
It shines through your writes!
Amazing. |
