"MANDALA"
My dear friend handed me the Mandala necklace....
My thoughts returned to Tibet, and the flower lotus~
Small country where this symbol means purity and wisdom.
Located behind the Himalaya, Tibet is a magical Kingdom.
Above sea level, two miles, clear light and pure color.
Open spaces of the Tibetan Plateau are drenched
in a dazzling light easel.
Himalaya towering peaks, south, an area of grazing land.
Wild looking nomads, mountainous area, livng in Yak tents.
Herding sheep, yak, and goats on this splendid grassland.
Lamaism, the system by the caste of Lamas,
known as Monks of Buddhism.
This Mandala design was created by the Lamas
to assist meditation for wisdom
Afffording also an appreciation of the whole universe.
Using it for sixteen hundred years as a demonstration creating
the world in a nine step disperse.....
A gift to hang around my neck, it's magnificent!
More than just a gift, a symbol of history from a land distant!
I will never wear it without thinking of it's origin!
Wisdom it brings to help my mind broaden!
Thank you dear friend once again....

What an utterly delightful poem and lesson, Connie. It is so beautiful and the meaning behind the design is so amazingly wise.
Thank you for sharing this delightful piece.
Love,

That necklace indicates pure light and wisdom...That mandala or Sri Chakra
neither it belongs to buddhism nor
to any LAMAS of Tibbet.. you seem to be ignorant of that diagram...That diagram indicates the entire mystic universe ruled
by Shiva and Shri Lalita, the divine mother
We hindu scholars worship the mother
in its centre point of that mandala.
The Buddist mandalas are entirely diffent..

Venkat kind sir.......this is Lovingcritters answering your criticism of this poem.
I got the information from the internet under Mandala......perhaps you would like to correct the information there, I took it as the truth, and copied it very carefully, fact by fact.
Thanking you,
lovingcritters
