A Moan Upon The Air

In the night I hear it call,
All dressed up and set to fall.
Dancing feet, and tortured rhymes,
Built on notes from future crimes.
Moving farther back again,
Feel the power, taste the pain.
Forced to crawl within its realm,
Forced to don its thorny helm.
Under steel your eyes reveal,
Muted screams, and silent squeals.
As the blood drains from your face,
Seek to leave this bitter place.
Search the shadows for the gate,
Find the key within your hate.
Pass the point of no return,
Fear the end as bridges burn.
Walk the path of least distress,
Wash your hands to make a mess.
Watch the water drain away.
Follow down. You must obey.
Find the world you once had lost,
Chip away the winter’s frost.
In the ice you’ll find your place,
Frozen there in arctic grace.
Reach inside and find your heat.
Follow south. Your heart will beat.
Ask yourself this simple thing:
What will having this thing bring?
If the cost is worth the price:
Think on it not once but twice.
If you find you want to try,
Touch the ice and wonder, “Why?”
Questions posed will bring it life.
Built on hate, and fed on strife.
Take a look there deep inside,
Hold your ground against the tide.
As the waves now crash and churn,
Bringing visions as they burn.
Washing through your pitied soul.
Is your peace its final goal?
Does it seek to do you harm,
As it grabs you by the arm?
As it pulls you down to you,
Does it tell you all that’s true?
In the end you suffer more.
Deep inside. Throughout your core.
As you fade into the night,
Now no will to stand and fight.
Things you see you can’t explain.
Writhing demons in your brain,
Show you things you cannot stand.
All the flames your lust has fanned.
As you drift away at last,
Into shadow you’ve been cast.
Drifting slowly, never there,
Just a moan upon the air.

Hi Micael,
Just thought I'd look you up on here and read more of your work. This one is very in depth and discriptive. Good work.
