Exploding onto the stage,
Then retreating quietly away.
While the action is roaring,
You sit in the corner.
Afraid to be yourself,
Afraid to tell the truth.
All the world’s a stage,
And you refuse to play.
You silently move around,
In the background.
This wasn’t the part designed for you.
Blinking into the lights,
You wish you could hide away.
But you’re forced to perform,
To the audience,
Of your nightmares.
One day you will be able to live,
Instead of acting like you are.
Till then,
Just hold on.
Your day will come.
