Pressure Rising

Topic: Suicide

Living a lie,
Keeping secrets,
Living my life,
Hidden under blankets.

Pretending to care,
Determination lost,
Giving up,
At any cost.

Scared not,
Feeble yes,
What’s around the corner?
Is anyone’s guess.

Sharpening knives,
Ready for the kill,
I await the moment,
When I lay very still.

Into my heart,
The dagger goes,
My life ending,
As organs show.

Blood staining,
Memories gone,
Entering death,
Where I’m re-born.
