I've never seen that look
On your face
You were so captivated
And kept out of touch
Music keeps you alive
It gave you that one love and desire to live for
To live in
Drained and tired you keep
Listening over and over
You know it can be 'better'
But perfection is so distant
It seems so foreign and fantacized
All we could hear was your
Deep soothing breath
In and out
And you kept yourself
Higher and higher
Stealing a glance
I noticed your red glossy eyes
You seemed so broken and helpless
You looked up at me
And smiled
Thats when I realized perfection
Was within earshot
