Together yet Apart

Topic: SongLyrics

She was comfortable and happy with her life.
She wasn't thinking of stress or what decision was best.
She had it all figured out, had it all pretty much free from strife.
She had a man, and the product of that love, she thought she could sit back and rest.
She thought that she understood, that she could see the light.
That from here on out, she would never be alone at night.

(chrs)
Well here we are, her and I, together yet apart.
I know she worries and wonders if we'll ever get this right.
If this time we will make it through the night.
If this time I can be smart, If I took the knowledge she did impart.
Baby, I see the look in your eyes, the tears that you cry.
I do listen, I do see, seeing this leaves me empty inside.
If there ever was a superman, ever a hero, then I am that man.
I am the man with a plan, and I will finish what I began.

Well there was a never a question of her mind.
And never a question of her heart.
She just saw that it was her man, she didn't know if she had time.
Time to wait, time to try and hold all of the parts.
Time to let this all settle where she always knew it belonged.
Time to let her heart settle after it had been wronged.
She sits now with fear, stress and confusion in her life.
She sits now with that look in her eye, trying so hard not to cry.
Wondering why?, wondering what is the point, what is the reward.
Wanting to picture that look of love in his eyes.
Hopeing beyond all hope that this can be restored.

(chrs)

She has dreams, she has wants and needs in this life,
Her man, her child, her life, just wanting to laugh and smile.
Memories being created, memories that are not under the knife.
A home that is peaceful and strong.
A relationship that is not hostile but versatile.
A love that you don't prod, but just flows along.

(chrs)

Someday soon she hopes, to look back and see the strength of thier love.
Someday soon, to be at ease, to hold his hand and feel a squeeze.
To watch her child run around thier feet, mimicing thier moves.
To have a safe and happy place to call home.
To have all of it, all of the above.
To finally have love in all of it's degrees.
To sit where nothing goes down, but always improves.
Sitting whith her family where reality never roams.

Baby I am that man, together we will create and be happy in our home.
