she just wants to sleep

Contributed by Cancer on Thursday, 22nd July 2004 @ 10:46:38 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

she found that they responded well
when she dressed all in white
the glittering wings
the tinsel halo
and the ivory go-go boots
dancing
sweating
thrusting
writhing
a mere foreplay
for the night to come

(they want a princess in the eye of the world
and a screaming demon in the sack
they all want something different
but sadly, much the same)

some demand she call them "Daddy"
others insist she walk on them
five inch stilleto heels
twisting and grinding
into the soft part that commands them

they have no fear
because they know they're in control

the right wings hate her
when the world is watching
and violate her when shadows conceal
dual nature of humanity
and she's just riding the broken fence
between heaven and hell

the only dreams that make her smile
are death and the nothing beyond
she doesn't yearn for streets of gold
or any lofty promise
she just wants to feel like a human once more
and then fall asleep forever

she just wants to sleep

I do have to agree with you. It is extremely sad that anyone has to live a life like that. Sad also that others take advantage of those that do live like that. I think I would want a deep forever sleep too.
