Distance

Topic: SongLyrics

You know it always happens the same way.
Does not matter which way you go.
Day after day......day after day.
The bottles always empty,
And you're still low.
Why can't I ever just know?
Will her hold over me ever just let go?

(chrs)
I still remember that day.
Where you held me with your eyes.
And I still remember that night,
Where we threw distance away.
I felt your body, I saw the light.
And for that my heart always cries.

So I sit here still,
Wondering what's become of us?
All the love in the world,
Can not change the damage done.
All the good will, leaves me here,
Without you and full of fear.
The days without you a bitter pill.

(chrs)

Oh man, it hurts so bad,
The colour of your eyes,
Running through my mind,
The feel of your skin.....It drives me mad.
And without you I'm walking blind.
And that fact I don't want to realize.

(chrs)

I'm not sure if she thinks?
That I am a rock,
That I'm strong,
Or that I'll be okay when she is gone.
But all those things are,
Because she holds the lock,
I hold the key............and she holds me.

(chrs)

Man oh man.......ohhh man,
How does happiness hurt so bad?
My arms are empty........
My lips are cold.......
My heart is anything but glad......
The edge of my bed is too far away.....
And my mind is trapped....not free.
All waiting for you to be bold.

(chrs)

This is really good. It's long, just like a song should be instead of the 3 minute pop ballad of today's world.

"How does happiness hurt so bad?"

Someone answer that for me. Come on, anyone. I most certainly cannot.

Great write.
