Failed Love

Contributed by parklanesouth on Thursday, 22nd July 2004 @ 08:58:52 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

We dreamed of our own family
A home to call our own.
The kids, the dogs, and in-laws
A future not alone.
We planned of happiness together
A plan not too bold

The lights, the cable, the finacnes,
Spiraling out of control.
The love, the attention, the emotion,
Things left untold.
The lies, the mistrust, the deception,
Leave a burden on the soul.

The honeymoon should have never ended
Lost it all much too soon.
The blame can be shared acrross the board
I''m responsible them most of all.
I never lived up to the man she deserved
I left her no choice but to move on

''Cause all the pain and broken promises
Her heart she can give no more.
Her love for me suffered irreprable harm
Where did I go so wrong?
I can be that man you once dreamed of
I now know all my faults

I do not deserve another chance
But all ask is for this last one
The bills, the attention, and your dreams
I now know what must be done
This winding road does not have to end
I can still be your everlasting love

this is a really good write, its a pitty about the circumstances. Its always easier to write feelings down than it is to speak them. Hope you work things out.

I am so sorry for your present circumstances and hope things can be worked out for you both. Sometimes scattering the dust reveals to us the right path. I hope all will correct itself.
