As I Sat There

Contributed by pixie on Thursday, 22nd July 2004 @ 01:07:50 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

As I sat there outside,
Sat there alone & cried,
After we had another row,
Can we get over this somehow?

I know how much you hurt,
How much that my flame burnt,
I will surely do all that I can,
To turn on my inner cooling fan.

I thought that I had pushed,
You too far so you’d had enough,
But you are standing by my side,
Help me to calm my raging tide.

A love like ours is tough & strong,
Together is where we really belong,
Being lovers & not fighters,
I can feel the load becoming lighter.

You took me inside & held onto me,
Gave me love that was plain to see,
Told me you would see me through,
Thanks for everything you do.

'Tis not so fun to fight, but surely is fun making up......those were my thoughts as I read you nice little poem.
It's plain to see you are both being put under alot of stress......I hope this all changes soon....stress can certainly kill two people in love.....
Compassionate and loving is he...hand onto him as tightly as can be!
love you
