I try to hide my anger
fearing the reactions
I bear cross earrings
but repent none
Sullen whispers attach themselves
to me like sea barnacles to boats
I'm sitting on the rail
and instead of enjoying the view
I am afraid I'll fall
Who would catch someone like me?
I've always crinkled at the corners
always been self - conscious
never felt perfect
Sweet memory,
will you fly and save the greedy?
The wrong?
Like the wind, I will go on.
