torture of minds

We torture our minds,
no one knows why,
like a bird flying south
just let it all out.
Greif that drowns
all other sounds,
tears that bleed
down reddened cheeks.
I love you, I know,
cause I let in sorrow.
Tear out my heart,
let you depart,
not sure if you'll return,
guess it's a lesson to learn.
So hard these goodbyes.
Yet, I torture my mind.

Great poem ... it's amazing how much torture the mind can bear. I'm nearly worn out with it. :)))) |
