gone but still here (somehow)

Topic: dedicatedpoems

i love you still, suppose i should
after all these years didnt think i could
but your always there always will be
the star that watches and guides me

one night you turned my life around
your soul lost never to be found
i felt empty and i died inside
when i looked into those lifeless eyes.

'it cant be' i raved and ranted
where was the love i took for granted?
away from me you would always be
yet so annoyingly close to me

you look over me and of that i know
i know you show me the way to go
ok its the hard way i know that too
i wouldnt expect any better from you

you want me to be prepared for
happiness, heaven, love and more
like sorrow, hell, and times of weakness
hard times in life that bring me stress

i suppose the love i took for granted
was there all along and i never accepted
well youre always in my heart
you may be gone but well never part
