Etched In Stone
The coffees on, your just in time,
I’ve poured yours first, now I’ll get mine.
Its time for work, another day
I’ll grab some breakfast on the way.
Then once again my heart falls,
Again I find I’m talking to walls.
Mornings, noon, and again at night,
I’m missing you no end in sight.
So once again seems all I can do,
For its here that I find I can talk to you.
The rose’s beauty, tends to hide
The pain of the thorns, I feel inside.
I feel you inside me in everyway,
It’s somehow harder for me today.
As you walk with angels around the throne,
Know that I miss you here at home.
Someday soon I’ll hold your hand,
As we walk in the gardens of the Promised Land.
But now on the days that I feel so alone,
I visit your memory, now etched in stone.

| Very real, and strong emotions. I can tell you it does hurt to lose, and know you will lose another again . My mom passed this past yr at a young age, so I know how you feel. I like the writing. |
