Perfect Dreams

As night falls, my dreams fly off with an angel;
You draw ever nearer to my reality.
Surrounded by an aura of magnificence;
This angel has stolen my mind before.
It is in another land that we dance and laugh;
My mind gone, you hold my heart.
Upon the moon, beyond the stars, my mind wanders;
In a world of passion the angel I do court;
Whilst within reality is my affection clouded.
Upon my wake the angel does flee;
From my side do you disappear.
Like a drug I am left wanting more;
When my eyes close again the angel returns, as do you.
Time enough for but one embrace before both leave.
Awoken from bliss by an unfriendly screech.
Disappear once again do both of my loves;
Sense of it I cannot make, no longer do I try.
As each day goes on the figures do merge;
Merge into the perfection that is you.
To have you is to have the best of both worlds;
Each night I cannot wait, the angel, the princess, both I love.
I'll make sense of it someday, I hope;
Before this dream is played on repeat.
