LET'S THROW THESE BASTARDS OUT

Contributed by steeleyes on Thursday, 22nd July 2004 @ 04:04:30 AM in AEST
Topic: political

The US, the UK and now Australia
‘fess up that the intelligence was thin
But the poor little politicians?
Well, they walk away with a grin

'Let the agencies take the rap
We did nothing wrong'
“They gave us doubts and we made them facts”
It is such an ugly song

So SHOULD the agencies take this rap?
What did they do for that?
They supplied the ‘maybes’ and ‘possiblies’
But don’t you smell a rat?

A rat in the shape of a politician
That runs fast to twist the facts
And after the damage is done
Proceeds to hide their acts

Oh so noble these certain men
The ones who talked so clear
About terrible threats from Iraq
Couched in words of fear

It seems these threats did not exist
How strange it was all wrong
Yet do the politicians apologise?
No, that’s not their kind of song!

“Push it to the agencies
Keep saying we were right”
You smell a rat, of course you do
It’s the act of a hypocrite

Bush and Cheney
Caught with trousers down
They were lying bare faced at ya
They should be run from town

But hey a great trick they now perform
To deflect all the bad news
'We didn’t say anything out of line
Or try to confuse!'

'Oh no, we just told the total truth
In each small detail
We just got bad data
Our grasp on these things is frail!'

Believe this and you’ll believe it all
In the tooth fairy and the elves
These lying scoundrels knew the truth
No lying to THEMSELVES

The thing was planned from the start
It began with the goal
Get Iraq now find the facts
They lost their honest soul

But still the pretence must go on
For the sake of their sad neck
While they lied their face off
A country lies a wreck

Bush, Cheney and the rest
The most corrupt of lying souls
They fooled you with thie lies
And now they rake the coals

Dishonest to the very bone
They STILL stand and spout
They want your RENEWED support
But come!

Let’s throw these bastards out!

Ode to the vote, and the people who sit on the couch, while the few get out, but nothing is clear, no one's to blame, so never fear....not until you see a son, a daughter, a mother, a father and more, torn to bits on some far off shore......a country in flames...no one's to blame.....except that nasty dinosaur.

Great write, thanks for sharing.

I wonder how many gulf wars etc would have been fought if there was a law that their own children would be in the front line.the politicians only care about their own power, i am so fed up of the white washed reports we have in England.
Great write , excellent subject.

"They fooled you with thie lies

How true. Well done again, Steel.
