There she stands on the corner -
That girls wears her smile like a frown
A crown of doubt wiping happy tears from her face
Splashing the ground with their glory
Glory, glory, hallelujah
Dismissing passers-by; striking them
With a beating of scornful glances
And she prances home without a care
No woe; no regrets - only eyes full of pride
Only eyes full of glory.
But at home; her shrouded emptiness takes over
The tears that fall no longer full of joy
Toying emotions back and forth
Before morning brings a new day of false glory.
Hallelujah.
